Currently, working as the Managing Director of Chennai Metro Rail Limited, Mr. Siddique, IAS is an officer of Tamil Nadu Cadre belonging to the batch of 1995. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Technology in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras.

He has served in various capacities in the Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India. With a service record of over 22 years, Mr. Siddique has gained expertise in public finance, policy making and public administration. In the Government of Tamil Nadu, he has served in various positions in the Finance Department, District Collector of Dharmapuri & Sivaganga, Director of Museums, Commissioner of Archives and Historical Research. He held the post of Principal Secretary (Expenditure), Finance Department from 2017 to 2019, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, from 2019 to 2021, Commissioner of Revenue Administration from December 2021 before taking up the position of Managing Director/ CMRL in June 2022.

In Government of India, Mr. Siddique worked as Director in Department of Expenditure for a year in 2008-2009 and worked in two key ministries of Home and Finance for five years between 2009 and 2014.

Shri Archunan belongs to 1989 batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers (IRSE). He is a Structural Engineer, (M.E) from Indian Institute of Science (1988-1990) and Civil Engineering, (B.E)(Hons) from Thiagarajar college of engineering, Madurai (1984-1988).

Prior to joining CMRL as Director (Projects), he had worked with Indian Railways for about 20 years, 5 years on deputation in CMRL and 5 years as Director (Projects) in Kochi Metro Rail Limited. He has wide experience in Railway track maintenance, Railway track laying works, Earth works, Construction of bridges, Broad gauge conversion works, Track renewals, Removal of speed restrictions and Passenger amenity works.

Shri Archunan, is the Director (Projects) and Member of Board of CMRL since June 2021 and in-charge of all Civil works related to Chennai Metro Phase I Extension (9 Km) and Phase II (119 Km) with total of 3 corridors involving 128 nos. of stations. Phase II has 42 km underground and 77 km of elevated stations. The project is being taken up at a time which is one of the largest projects in India. He is one of the Board of Directors in Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited.

Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya is a Post Graduate in Commerce and a qualified Management Accountant (ICMA), Company Secretary (ACS), Legal Professional (LL.B.), Masters in Business Administration and Doctorate (Ph.D) in Commerce.

Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya, Director (Finance) is a Member of the Board of Directors of CMRL and incharge of Finance & Accounts, HRD & Administration including Training and Planning & Business Development Departments.

Dr. Prasanna Kumar Acharya has a total work experience of about 27 years. Prior to CMRL, he has experience in serving Navaratna Public Sector Undertakings viz., NTPC Limited, Neyveli Lignite Corporation Limited, Grid Corporation of Odisha (a State PSU) and Tata Power Company Ltd., a premier private sector company.

An Electrical Engineer, B.Tech from IIT,Delhi, PG diploma in HRM fro IGNOU and Certified Energy Auditor from BEE In his career spanning 29 years in Indian Railways, he has wide experience in Railway Electrification works, Tendering and the contract management and other construction activities/projects as well as maintenance of traction distribution assets, General service works and maintenance of Rolling Stock.

Shri Rajesh Chaturvedi is Director/Systems & Operations of Chennai Metro Rail Ltd since Oct 2020, and is in-charge of Electrical Power Systems, Rolling Stock, Signalling and Telecom & AFC, Operations and Maintenance and IT.
